Day 20 Off To See Montezuma – Castle and Well, That Is
Thursday, January 20 – We went shopping in Cottonwood yesterday which is about 20 miles from here. Stopped in at Montezuma’s Castle and well on the way back. I have been there twice before and thought Walter would enjoy seeing the ancient cliff dwellings. The well is actually a sink hole that is fed by a million and a half gallons of warm(74degree) water a day from underground springs. There are no fish here, but lots of ducks. Shep went along and was, actually, a very good dog. He was exhausted on the way home, as you can see. The last shot is what you see as you drive into The Village of Oak Creek , where we live. If you click on the photos to enlarge you will see that the sign says just a mile from the village. Off to shop at Tlaquepaque today as soon as laundry is done. I think we will eat at Thai Spicy this afternoon. We went there with Billi and Brad and really liked it. I am really tired of eating out and Walter would eat every meal out, so we will see how long it takes him to get tired of it too. I think he plans on trying every place in town.
I would love to see Montezuma Castle and the well! I would be an Archeologist if I had to pick a second career. What a wonderful place to visit. The view heading into the development where you live is breathtaking. I think of Billi, Tiffany, Becca, Emma and you each time I pass the Thai place in Spokane where we ate so long ago.
Looks so familiar – your shots are much clearer than mine.

sounds like you had a fun day.
