Day 289 Finally Frost
Saturday, October 16 – We woke to 30 degrees this morning and finally have frost on everything. I covered my one fall mum and a pepper plant at midnight last night and it was getting a bit nippy then. I always hate to see that killing frost come; as it means cold weather is soon here. It is very late this year and I have so enjoyed all the beautiful fall flowers. Here are some leaves at the barn that I took this morning with my G11.
Winter will soon be here. Love the color changes and detail of the leaves in these photos. Frost covered everything this morning. I have a few tomatoes left on the vines. I’ll pick them today and let them ripen in the house. They are predicting lower than average temps with higher than average precip so that means SNOW and lots of it!
