Day 48 Our Cruise Ship

Wednesday, February 17 – Here are a couple of shots from Aruba.  The first shot is of the cruise ship that we were on, the Island Princess. It was specially built to fit through the Panama Canal, so it is narrow and long. Cheryl and I found the boat that is in that 2nd picture and figured that was more Walter’s style of cruise ship. There is another winter storm coming this afternoon. The weather bug is calling for around 6 inches of snow by morning. I have been doing limited chores lately, as my knee is really giving me problems. Guess I need to pay a visit to the doc to find out what is going on. I also have a bug and a bad cough. There was a young girl with a bad cough riding behind me on the plane home and I would bet that is where I caught it. I sure wish people would wear masks or stay off planes when they are sick.

Love the old ship photo. The cruise ship you were on looks very big. I’ve not yet been on a cruise so am looking forward to going on one at some point. Rick gets seasick pretty easy so he hasn’t ever been all that eager to go.

No snow at all in the forecast here. It’s mid to upper 40s through the weekend. It feels like Spring rather than late Winter around here.

I hope you feel better soon. A bum knee and a nasty cold. Hopefully your knee and body heals quickly.

I think he might like it with a bit less rust…{!-{>

Debbie, the only time we felt motion was one day at sea on our Alaskan cruise last June…and that only when we were neat the top level of the ship. Inside and down near the bottom levels you could feel it at all. No storms, just the ocean swells. A lot of the Alaska cruise is in the inside passage, so there is only calm, flat water.

Good shots! I would like to go back to Alaska in the second boat, too!
