This is one of the places that I photographed birds at Bella Vista, Ecuador. I actually took this shot as I was eating lunch and it is shot through the window. You will notice there is a bird already sitting right there. Â That is a Choco Toucan. There were 5 of them that loved to have you had feed them. The owner said that they had hatched close by and got used to people. They sure loved the bananas and plantains that were set out for them.
I have a robin the nest above my deck every year. Sure enough, there were three babies there again this year. They decided yesterday was the day to fly out of the nest. This cute little guy landed on the lawn chair. I don’t see any of them now, so I sure hope something didn’t get them during the night.
The kids were busy helping Jenn garden yesterday. This was for the deck planters. Then on to the big garden.
I had dinner with Mom the other night and was it ever good. The steak nearly fell apart when you cut it. Mashed potatoes, Caesar salad and homemade rolls with honey cutter completed the meal. Oh, yes, and punch or red wine too. Yummy red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting too.
Our little angel is growing up so fast. She loves standing up and will soon be walking. Her crawling has been mastered. What a funny face she was making when she got up from her nap.
Cute little visitors on this beautiful Peony. Isn’t it strange how ants are attracted to the peony flowers? They are there enjoying the sugary secretions.
Bees need some pollen for their honey, so here you go. Look at those yellow, pollen covered legs.
We had a hail storm yesterday with golf ball size hail. I was running to get my plants inside and caught the edge of my wine barrel planter with my knee.
Took a quick trip to Gibson Park yesterday to let Tristan do some practicing for the Glacier Park Macro workshop we are going to in a few weeks. Â The Peony plants are in full bloom.
