Day 81 A Sun Star
I was down taking photos at our junk pile this afternoon and saw an opportunity for a sun star. So here you go, sun star with a rainbow of sorts.

I love Maria’s for Mexican food. Her enchilada sauce is to die for. My favorite dish is Grandpa’s Rice, which is not on the menu, but Maria makes it for me anyway. Highly recommend eating there.
Here is proof of why when you are taking a photo of the sunset, always turn around to see what the light is doing behind you. We were coming up the hill from the barn and saw those gorgeously lit clouds to the east. Sure enough, when we got up to the house, this was the view of the Highwoods. Sun setting in the west and the view to the east with all that beautiful color bouncing off those clouds.
This is son, Nick’s birthday! So Happy Birthday, Nick! I wasn’t sure if we would have anything traditional, like Corned Beef and Cabbage to share, so here are some shots of my grandson with his new birthday camera, out shooting at Gibson Park yesterday. The kiddo is pretty intense when he is in his element. Â I will be sharing some of his images in the next few days. He is doing some fabulous photography! He was more than ready for a DSLR. He is already shooting on manual!
This was on our way of Yellowstone and that is Devil’s Slide right ahead. Pretty interesting, isn’t it? I am always amazed at how well the new iPhone6 can shoot going down the road at 65mph.
Tristan got a brand new camera for his upcoming birthday. The first day of shooting he took over 1100 photos. Look at this wonderful portrait of his sister! I think he did pretty darned good. He is going to be quite the photographer and remember he is only 10.
Rueben Sandwiches are a favorite of mine. Not sure why, because I do not like Thousand Island dressing, Sauerkraut, or Corned Beef. Yet, when they are combined in a Rueben, I like them. I know, strange, isn’t it? The one pictured is from Wheat Montana in Three Forks and pretty yummy. My favorite Rueben of all time, though, is from the 5th Street Diner in downtown Great Falls.
