Day 18 Yes, I Do Believe All She Does Is Sleep

Jade spends all day and night sleeping, when she isn’t watching the birds on the feeder.  I think that might mean she likes it here. Off to a photo walk tomorrow sponsored by the Friends of the Forest.  We are going to a spot that is new to us; Yavapaii Vista.

Day 17 On The Way To Do Bountiful Baskets

Here we are on our way to help with Bountiful Baskets. I met the gal who is the VSC in Cottonwood last year. I am on my way over to himageelp her with the distribution. We have fun comparing notes about our sites.

Day 16 BarBQ

Walter and I ate at the local barbecue place tonight. A bit of chicken, ribs, brisket and pork were yummy.

Day 15 Cactus Complete With Corral

Bryton and Gage will be thrilled to see this cactus right by a corral. They obviously have rodeo here, as their is a calf roping chute right there.

Day 14 Vines

This was taken right in front of the Pie restaurant that we ate at yesterday. You don’t expect to see vines here, just cacti.

Day 13 Weather This Morning

It rained hard early this morning before dawn. Then the rain stopped and we got some beautiful Sedona weather again. We have had a lot of morning fog lately. This is the view from our living room. That is Cathedral Rock right in front and we are looking right toward downtown Sedona.

Day 12 Saguaro

The Saguaro at Black Canyon. We just had to stop for pie yesterday at the Rock Springs Cafe. The cacti are close by, so we had to scout out the best place to take the twins to see them when they come in a few weeks. Besides, a guy has to get his pie fix once in a while. Bryton thinks they look small, but is he ever going to be surprised. Saguaro grow to be up to 70 feet tall and 150 years old.
