The chickens are loving the warm weather. They are going to be very disappointed in a few hours when the snow arrives. And then subzero temperatures arrive. Yuck!

Poor Jade looks worn out from all the holiday preparations. She is missing her buddy, Shep, who is sick in the hospital.
It seems that proud Mr. Rooster, the King of the Chicken Coop, has lost his tail feathers. Hmm, wonder where they went?
I wonder if a person would know what this image is, if I didn’t tell them? It is snowing hard out right now. I so enjoyed the lovely winter weather we were having this past week. Not ready for this again. Looks like I might be going back to Monterey this next fall to do some shooting along the coast. It is going to be a full year of traveling; Sedona, Yellowstone, Costa Rica, Hawaii and Monterey.
For some reason, this orchid looked like a dove to me. Here is another shot form the macro workshop. This high key image was a challenge to shoot to get enough contrast. I am loving that new 180 macro lens.
Little Gus is pretty popular with the Grandkiddos, as you can see. I am not sure that he is as thrilled with them as they are with him. Look at that expression.
Here is a bit different view of the little guy from a few days ago. A macro of an orchid.
