The lure of negative space grabbed me one evening so I just had to get a shot to remember it by. There is something quieting and peaceful about negative space.
Here is another shot of part of our group getting ready to capture some dune photos. Not sure if I like it B&W or color. What do you think?

I am a great fan of shadows. Here is one I took at White Sands of a group of us out capturing images. I am not sure which one I am, but I am there.
Lincoln, New Mexico is a fascinating old town which lays claim to having Billy the Kid spend some time there. We made a morning trip there when the wind was howling in White Sands preventing any shooting. These shots were done in an old church where the sun was shining through the crosses in the windows casting shadows on the floor and pew below.
I am so lucky to have both my parents still here and celebrating 67 years of marriage today. We always tease Dad and about what was he thinking to get married on April Fool’s Day. In honor of their special day, here is the color version of my cottonwood tree photo. I think it symbolizes that even through hard times you can still come out on top.
