Day 256 Early Morning Deer Family

Wednesday, September 12 – Took this one this morning on my way home from doing chores at the barn.  Beautiful morning being enjoyed by one of the many families of mule deer that are living close by. The forecast is for another front to move in and bring high winds and low humidity with extreme fire danger.

Day 255 Bear Grass

Tuesday, September 11 – Some shots from Glacier of the few stalks of Bear Grass that were still blooming.

Day 252 – Fallin’ Down

Saturday, September 8 –  Fences don’t last forever.

Day 251 Dentures Needed?

Friday, September 7 – A shot from out at the old car graveyard north of town. Awesome place for rust and textures.

Day 250 Happy Birthday, Tiffany

Thursday, September  6 – Today is Tiffany’s birthday and I will be kind and just say it is 30 something. Hope you have a terrific celebration. How could it help with the boys in your house? Hope I am right in calling this a Rocky Mountain Dwarf Sunflower. The ant was sure busy climbing around from a high place. A G 12 shoT in front of my house.

Day 249 Indian Paintbrush

Wednesday, September 5 –  There were Prairie Fire or Indian Paintbrush blooming all over Glacier  and actually two different colors also. Not sure what that little purple visitor to the frame is. Spent  lovely day at Holter Lake yesterday with the daughters. Lots of water skiing and swimming and yummy food was enjoyed.

Day 248 The Lodge At East Glacier

Tuesday, September 4 –  What a glorious place this lodge is at East Glacier. The grounds are beautifully maintained.  The gift shop inside was delightful.  I  purchased a couple of books there by Tom Ulrich to have autographed when we go to Tanzania with him this fall. That time will be here before you know it. My immunizations are scheduled for this next week.

Day 247 Secret Falls

Monday, September 3 – A beautiful short trek and an enjoyable hour spent at Secret Falls was one of the highlights of Glacier.  This location still had lots of wildflowers and a chipmunk or two. There was no water coming over the top of the falls, but it was pretty dramatic and loud coming through that hole in the rock. The drought seems to have affected this area also. We did notice some of the lakes are low.
