Tuesday, July 10 – We got to take a private boat ride around Lake Geneva one night. We were out there for 2 1/2 hours and was it ever fun. Saw all those gorgeous mansions up close and enjoyed the golden light hour. A delicious dinner at Pier 290 followed. I wish I had brought along one of my big cameras, but with photogenic subjects I guess the little G11 will do just fine. Horizons don’t stay straight when you are rocking in a boat, as you can notice.
Monday, July 9 – All I want to do is shop!Lily had quite the meltdown on our way to Pleasant Prairie Outlet Mall. She covered her eyes with the only thing she had handy – a $5 bill. Her biggest complaint was that the money was wet from her tears. As you can see, she got her shopping time in. We also went to Gurnee Mills which has over 200 stores. What a place!!
Sunday, July 8 – Who would ever say these two angelic little monkeys were anything but sweet and innocent?
Saturday, July 7 – We ate at a really fantastic place in Rochester with outside patio seating. This was the place with the interesting banana pudding. Lots of flower baskets that were just begging for pics.
Friday, July 6 – We took a really fun trip to the Jelly Belly factory in Wisconsin. The little train ride was very informative and the free samples were a huge hit. We all had to wear the Jelly Belly hats and of course, they unloaded us into the gift shop. There were some pretty interesting ones to sample like barf and skunk odor.
