Day 202 Pretty Cool Clouds
Friday, July 20 – These threatening clouds were on their way to Chicago and spared us the storm. Pretty neat looking as they traveled by.

Thursday, July 19 – These pair are going to give their dads a run for their money when they get to be teenagers. It is so much fun to have a cousin you think is very cool.
Wednesday, July 18 – Marilynn came to spend the day with her cousins and brought her brand new slip n slide along. What a great time they had. It has been hotter than Hades lately and the water fun was very welcomed. Lily had quite the time learning how to slide instead of run on the slip n slide.
Monday, July 16 – Did a few zoomed in shots with the little G11. Amazing detail that the sculptor captured. Tristan figured out that the big pile of rocks right below were all chips from the carvings. We met a 90 year old man who was signing his book about Mount Rushmore. He actually worked at the site when they were sculpted.
Washington
Jefferson
Lincoln
And finally, Teddy Grahams Roosevelt
Sunday, July 15 – We stopped at Mount Rushmore (mountain rushmore, according to Lily, where the 4 presidents live) on our way home. The kids were fascinated by the place. We arrived when it first opened at 8 and were glad we did, as the crowd rapidly grew. Tristan had learned a lot about it at school and even knew who the 4 presidents were. When quizzed, he informed us that they were Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington and Teddy Grahams!! He swears that someone at school told him that. You have got to love kids!
Saturday, July 14 – What a place Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay is! The grandkids loved it there and can hardly wait to go back. Nice thing is, it is only a few blocks from their house. I shot this one on our way back from the boat ride on Lake Geneva. Albert Einstein loved this place and I certainly can see why. The whole floor is an elevator that takes you up to the largest refracting telescope in the world and was built in 1897. It was one of two places that Einstein wanted to visit in the United States; the other being Niagara Falls.
Friday, July 13 – The cottonwood tree in front of my house is full of cotton. The next good wind we get is going to make it look like it i snowing.
Thursday, July 12 – There is nothing like a setting sun to put the finishing touches on a perfect day of cruising Lake Geneva. When do you take a vertical shot? Right after you take a horizontal.
