Day 105 Thinking
Saturday, April 14 – Gage looking very contemplative. I wonder what he is thinking about?

Friday, April 13 – Those twin grandsons of mine know how to hunt eggs. They had a practice session last week at their church and they are very ready to roll today. I do believe that someone found one of those special eggs with the itunes card inside.
Thursday, April 12 – Emma knows how to find those best eggs. I think she got one of the big itunes cards.
Tuesday, April 10 – I bought an Easter cookie decorating set with my Bountiful Baskets. The girls had so much fun putting the finishing touches on them and were they ever yummy too.
Monday, April 9 – Today is my grandson’s 16th birthday. Where have those years gone? You were such an adorable little guy and you have grown into such a handsome young man. When you aren’t composing music or playing one of the many musical instruments you have mastered, you are enjoying soccer as team captain.
Sunday, April 8 – What a beautiful Easter Sunday! All the snow is gone and we were able to do our planned egg hunt. Walter and I filled 100s of plastic eggs with candy. Of course, there were the required special eggs with itunes cards and cash. Happy Birthday to son, Carl, too.
Saturday, April 7 – Every Saturday, I pick up my Bountiful Basket order. Walter drove this week, as the roads were a little icy west of town. All three of our daughters got baskets this week. I am thrilled that there is an organic option to order. I took some quick shots with my iPhone before filling my downstairs cooler and the new refrigerator. Looks like we will be eating very well this week. I need to call that chef son of mine to get a good recipe for preparing fennal. I got tangerines last week and they are delicious. So this week my twin grandsons are going to enjoy their own box. We also got organic 9 grain bread and some yummy granola. The Italian vegie pack add on last week was very good too. Walter enjoyed eggplant in a new way I found to prepare it. The iPhone shots makes it easier for me to email. Two daughters were anxiously waiting to see what goodies they got via their iPhones.
Those are the organics that I got this week.
This is the conventional basket.
This is the Easter hostess add on.
And here is the add on box of tangerines.
Friday, April 6 – This was not the view our my bedroom window this morning. Our snow storm finally arrived this morning at about 5. Thank goodness the weatherman has downgraded the snow amount for here. It is a very wet snow with lots of moisture which is something we need. There were 5 calves born last night before the storm hit. I am very thankful for my hired man who will watch the cows today. Those babies don’t last long when born in this weather; hypothermia is a calf killer. I took this shot last week of the Highwoods. It will be nice when this is the view again in a few days.
Thursday, April 5 – I am so proud of my granddaughter. She is an excellent photographer. In fact, she is the photographer for her elementary school this year. In addition to that, she won 3rd place in a recent contest at the local camera club. Neat thing is, she placed right behind a professional who had both 1st and 2nd. She also won the photography section of the Reflections program at her school and at the state level.
