Day 346 Those First Shots
Monday, December 12 – Here are those first shots I mention of the lunar eclipse. They are not good, as the wind was howling and I needed to get my lens figured out. But it shows how we were dealing with a full moon.

Sunday, December 11 – Here are the final ones from this morning. It really was a glorious site and something that won’t soon be repeated. The atmosphere was pretty heavy at the end and I lost the view before the moon went below the horizon. Suddenly it was just black out. I decided to not crop in close and give more of an idea of how I saw the eclipse.
Saturday, December 10 – I actually got up at 4am and shot the Lunar eclipse. It was mighty cold out and I am still shivering. I had trouble getting my tripod set up in the wind and didn’t get anything much when the moon was full and the eclipse just starting. After moving to the protection of my horse trailer, I got some better shots that showed some moon detail. I used my 7D and the 100-400L. Curtis came out and joined me too which made it extra fun.
Friday, December 9 – It is chilly out today, but at least that brutal north wind has stopped and no more snow showers. It is supposed to warm up tomorrow and stay that way for a few days. I don’t like cold weather and find myself already missing scenes like this from last summer. Please bring back the green and warm sunshine soon. Walter has this shot as wallpaper on his iPad. Guess that means he likes it. It is from Fairy Creek outside of Bozeman. Wow, I just realized that we have just 22 days left for this year’s blog posts. I am so proud of Curtis, Leslee and myself for completing another year. You can bet that I will be on board for next year too.
Thursday, December 8 – Here is a shot from Death Valley. Someone had fun stacking rocks, didn’t they? You see alot of these in Sedona around the Vortexes. Not sure what the significance was here though. Maybe a hidden votex.
Wednesday, December 7 – I received Tiffany’s Christmas card in the mail today and thought this the perfect time to share a few pictures of her boys, my handsome grandsons.  Can you guess which one is the little stinker? As you can see, one is definately a cowboy, pink shirt and all. But the other little guy is all Micky. She sure has her hands full and it brings back so many memories of when my twins were that age. Thanks so much, Tiffany, for sharing the photos with me.
Tuesday, December 6 – I spend hours at the Apple store and learned so much. I visited the Genius bar many times for help and took workshops in both mac and icloud. Love the place and sure wish we had an Apple store closer. They fixed Billi’s itouch for me and even worked on Bobbi’s itouch too. No charge and so friendly. I can see why all the people were lined up on Sunday morning waiting to get in the door. Funny thing is that the Microsoft store is across the hall and no one was waiting at their door. Strange. I am loving my Apple gadgets(ipod, itouch and ipad)  and am using my Macbook pro more and more.
Monday, December 5 – Late Saturday afternoon Mother Nature decided it should become winter in Minneapolis. We had been shopping at the mall all day and were surprised to see so much snow already as we headed back to our motel. These shots are out of the motel window looking towards the airport. It looked like about 6 inches fell overnight when we headed out Sunday morning for our last shopping.
Sunday, December 4 – Here is a shot from the window of our plane to Minneapolis. This was my annual trip to Mayo Clinic and the Mall of America shopping afterwards. Pretty sunrise when you leave at 6am.
