Day 176 Where Are You Heading?

Saturday, June 25 – I love this shot that Becca did of a ladybug on grass. Make sure to click on it to enlarge. Really neat shot, I think. Here it is cropped a little too. Guess that girl will be needing a macro lens one of these days, you are right, Curtis.

Day 175 Becca, You Are My Guest Today

Friday, June 24 – I still have lots of Italy photos to share, but thought I needed a break and to grab a camera again. Actuallly, as it has worked out, I am going to have some guest photographers for a few days. I took Beeca, Emma and Marilynn to Flower Farm and Gibson Park on Monday to do some flower shooting. What great photographers those girls are. So I will be sharing some of their shots for the next few days. Becca, you are first up. Your compositions amaze me. What an artistic eye you have!!  I can tell that you had fun shooting with my Canon 5DM2 and you did such a great job with that heavy camera. A think a DSLR might be in the future for you. I think this shot you did of the pink flowers was a favorite, so it is going up today. Enjoy.

Day 174 Heading Home

Thursday, June 23 – Now that jet lag has passed, I can appreciate these shots more. I was pretty sick and tired of airplanes by the time I arrived in Great Falls. These shots were taken out my window on the trip from Seattle to home. It was nice to have clean windows to shoot out for a change. I really appreciated the color of the Alaska Airline plane and it was very roomy compared to what I had been flying in. I had two seats to myself, so I could really stretch out.

Day 173 Green For Leslee

Wednesday, June 22 – Here is a green landscape for Leslee showing lots of vineyards and a row of cypress trees. Bryan told me that most of the big ones that we saw are over a 100 years old. We are supposed to have a nice day today here in Montana with the temps at 80 degrees. Then tomorrow it all changes again and we go back to rain all week. In fact they are calling for severe thunderstorms with hail tomorrow. Yuck!! Will summer ever arrive?

Day 172 Water Shots

Tuesday, June 21 – Here are a couple of water shots taken at the river in Florence, right close to where I shot those bridge compositions.

Day 171 Golden Morning Light

Monday, June 20 – I loved this morning, with all the haze. That golden light of early morning was just to die for. This is one of my favorite shots.

Day 170 Through The Clover

Sunday, June 19 – The sheep graze these fields very short and the clover seems to grow very large blossoms when it blooms. I layed down in the clover and shot through it looking at the farmstead in the distance keeping the clover nice and sharp.

Day 169 Typical Abandoned Farmstead

Saturday, June 18 – This is a typical abandoned farmstead that we saw out in the countryside. There were so many of them just like this. I wonder what happened to the family that lived there and who now owns the land.

Day 168 They Have Thistles In Italy Too

Friday, June 17 – They have thistles in Italy too. We have them here in Montana and what a terrible weed they are. It looks like the poppies are a worse weed around the Tuscany region.

Day 167 Rushing

Thursday, June 16- Everyone in Florence was moving at a fast pace, whether in a car, scooter or bike. This was right across from the Duoma and the crowds were thick. I was trying to capture the gal in the bright flowered dress with all the motion around her.
