Saturday, May 28 – Here are a couple of shots of houses reflected in the river that runs through Florence. We also shot the bridge there both day and at twilight.
Friday, May 27 – I am not sure what day it really is. I am so tired from lack of sleep and a bit motion sick tonight. We are in Rome or Roma as it is know around here. Will be heading back to the states come morning. Here is a shot of a durum wheat field. There is wheat growing everywhere; guess that isn’t surprising with all the pasta that is consumed here.
Thursday, May 26 – There are wild poppies growing everywhere here and they ORANGE!! You know me and orange. I really like this isolation shot.
Wednesday, May 25 – We practiced freezing motion and panning and Bryan liked this shot so much that he asked me to send him a copy of the file. Might be in his next book??
Tuesday, May 24 – Finally have a few minutes and internet to post. We have put in horrid hours lately. This is a shot showing how well Pocket Wizards work. This old barn was quite the find for demoing what one can do. The barn was dark inside which we wanted to illuminate also. The window frame woked well for framing the countryside,, don’t you think?
This darned site won’t let me go in and see to edit I know there are typos like crazy. I will change them when I get home. The plane photos were takne through the plane window and at the airport of our Alitalia ride. The Florence ones are right out my motel window. It is 11 at night right now and so loud outside. They really like to party here. I am still feeling jet lag like crazy which I hope goes away by tomorrow. Almost forgot to explain that the black photo was taken inside the airplane at 2 in the morning. Not easy to hold still, as you can see.
Monday, May 23 – We will be shooting at 6 this morning, so I we nt ahead and put up ones that I took tonight. When I get home, I will have to fix the typos. Things are just not easy to change on this.
Sunday, May 22 – I have arrived!! What a long day and night I put in, Interesting flights from Great Falls and Minneapolis. Rough and we couldn’t land in MSP because the power was out. I made my connection only because my plane was the same one I got off and the gate was even the same. What a long flight that is to Rome. But it went fine and Bryan and I arrived at almost the same time and found each other easily. Very nice drive through the countryside and a super great visit. We had our meet and greet tonight and then a few of us went out to eat. The food is fantastic!! Here are some shots from yesterday and today. I was too air sick to take many.
Saturday, May 21 – Here are some of the Paper Whites blooming in front of Billi’s house. They have quite the history. She dug them up at the Gordon house where I used to live. The bulbs have been there for at least 50 years. Once transplanted, they have really gone to town with the blooming. I am so glad that Billi thought to dig some up and enjoy them.  I am off bright and early tomorrow morning for Italy. Tiffany and boys came to spend the day with me and help me pack. I so appreciate having her here. I have everything packed and am overweight on my carryon which isn’t surprising when it is photo gear. Have my fingers crossed that I don’t have to check it when I get on that big plane back east.
