Day 100 Run! It’s Possessed Pooch!!

Sunday, April 10 – Bobbi shared this awesome shot of her Possessed Dog, Hunter, with me today and I just had to make it my picture of the day. What a shot, Bobbi. That is some great ‘red-eye’, oops, I guess it is ‘green eye’ going on there. Who says green eye can’t work in a shot? I sure think it does here. Thanks so much for sharing this with me, Bobbi. I have had a great laugh over it and it really is awesome. That new iphone takes a mean photo; literally!!

Day 99 Happy Birthday, Chase!

Saturday, April 9 – Whoa, where have all the years gone, Chase? You are so grown up now and even composing music. In addition to being such a talented musician, you shoot a pretty mean photo too. I am so proud that you are my grandson! I sure hope you have a great birthday on the road playing soccer.  Hope you like the photos that I picked in honor of your special day. The last one is of you last weekend in Billings taken with your mom’s new iphone.  Happy Birthday!!

Day 98 The Day Dawns On Carl’s Birthday!

Friday, April 8 -  It’s my son, Carl’s birthday today. Happy very special birthday!! I sure hope that you can have some yummy Jaker’s food in honor of your daym as I think that is your favorite place to go.  Sounds like you might have a white birthday too, with what the weatherman is forecasting. In honor of your big day, here is a shot of one of those glorious sunrises we have been having lately taken right out my bedroom window. I was planning on getting an actual “on your day” shot, but decided better not chance it with that yucky forecast.

Day 97 Highwoods Are Cloudy Today

Thursday, April 7- I snapped the first two before our snow came a couple of days ago. The Highwoods are very white now. Thought this cloud bank rolling in early in the morning from the north was neat.  We are supposed to have another snow storm possibly on Thursday. Is winter ever going to leave? I feel much better today. That nasty bug that is going around doesn’t seem to last very long, thank goodness. Ron is back at work today too. Here are two that came from bright and early this morning. The clouds have moved up abit and the snow is melting with our 50 degree temps. Now if we can just get some of that mud going away at the barn.

Day 96 Support Urban Chickens

Wednesday, April 6 -Tonight the Great Falls city commissioners vote on allowing chickens, hens only, to be confinement raised in the city limits. So by the day this says it is, we will know the fate of the chicken. I have written all the commissioners urging them to vote For the ordinance. After reading the proposed ordinance on cluc.org I see no reason for not allowing hens. They have more restrictions proposed than dogs or cats. This has become quite a heated issue. It sounds to me like it might have started from a fight between feuding neighbors. Sad when our freedom to grow some of our food (eggs) is taken away by government.  Here are some shots of my fancy, dancy rooster. We gave no idea what breed he is, as he came with the rest of them and was considered an exotic. He is very fancy, for sure, and hard to photograph. My buff roosters almost seem to enjoy posing.

Day 95 This Is How You Do It!

Tuesday, April 5 – When you don’t have a  feed truck to carry bales, you have to improvise. Looks to me like you boys have it very well thought out.

Day 94 There’s Nothing Like A Few Chicken Feathers

Monday, April 4-  Gage loves feathers and just had to have a few from my Buff Orpingtons to wear in his hat.  There’s nothing like a couple of chicken feathers in your hat to make you feel extra “cool”.

Day 93 Becca, You Are The Best!

Sunday, April 3 – I had the honor of traveling to the Montana State Gymnastics meet last week end with Becca. I am so darned proud of her making the team representing Smiley’s Gym. Way to go, girl!! Here are some shots that Billi took at the meet. It is very difficult to shoot at this activitiy, as there is so much going on all at the same time and hard to get close enough for good pictures. I think Billi did a great job. Congrats, Becca, for going to State! Everytime I watch you, I am in awe. My back hurts just thinking about the things you do. You are the BEST!

Day 92 I Know I Can Learn This Stuff

Saturday, April 2 – I just finished my Photoshop class at the COT. Here are some shots from that final night. This is a friend of mine, Mike, who is in camera club with me and someone I have known for many years, our kids growing up together.  I had a terrible time seeing the monitor and the board with the lights off. Guess my eyes are showing my age. I work on my computer at home with glasses off and that wouldn’t work here with having to see the board also. I just need to jump in and practice now. Big winter storm is supposed to be on it’s way tomorrow night. Tiffany just left with the boys and will be safe and sound at home before it hits. I am missing them already. They had a ball yesterday looking at Grandpa’s big tractors and then visiting my chickens. Something about a rooster crowing didn’t go over very well with Gage. They sure had fun gathering the eggs though. One of my silly chickens is still laying two eggs a day on occasion and today was one of those days.
