Day 110 This Is What 6 looks Like and Happy Birthday, Kristie!

Wednesday, April 20 – Tristan turned 6 a few weeks ago. We had a belated birthday cake when he got here for his week’s visit.  There is nothing like being 6, or so he tells me. In case you didn’t notice, there are 6 fingers being held up in the 2nd photo. His mom is out celebrating her birthday tonight with dinner and a movie, so we are busy doing the itouch and ipad.  I sure hope you are having a lovely birthday, Kristie. You deserve some away time and Walter and I love giving it to you.

Day 109 Bathing Beauty and Gentleman

Tuesday, April 19 – Just had to share a few more of the bathtime shots I took. What is it with kids and bubbles?

Day 108 Too Many Bubbles, I don’t Think So, Grandma!

Monday, April 18 – Tristan and Lily are here for the week and have loved the time they spend in my “bubble” tub. They have discovered that if you put in a little bit of shampoo and then put on the air jets, you can make “tons” of bubbles that last and last.  It is so good to have them here. I have missed them so much. Winter storm on it’s way again tonight. Is this winter ever going to end. I am getting my new chicken coop tomorrow and should have the chicks here by Wedensday.

Day 107 What Do You Mean, I Need To Smile?

Sunday, April 17 – Gage is a very serious little guy and it sure shows here. He is always thinking. He thought Great Grandma Bonnie had a very neat kitty shirt on. The hit of the day was that cool backhoe that was moving snow out in front. They could have watched the process for hours. Grandpa Bob can hardly wait to show the little tractor lovers his antique John Deere’s. Thanks again, Tiffany, for such a wonderful day for Mom and Dad. It meant the world to them.

Day 106 Great-Grandma Bonnie, I Think You Are Very Neat!

Saturday, April 16 – Tiffany and I stopped at Mom and Dad’s for a visit a few weeks ago. What a great time the boys had and I think the great grandparents had as much fun as they did. Bryton is very taken with Grandma Bonnie, as you can see here.  Thanks so much, Tiffany, for making their day and for sharing these shots.

Day 105 Some Serious BedHead

Friday, April 15 – Lily has some serious bedhead going on here. What a cutie she is. She talks a mile a minute and hasn’t forgotten her itouch skills either.

Day 104 You Don’t Say!

Thursday, April 14 -  J30, also known as My Girl, is one of the friendliest cows we have ever raised. She will let you pet her right out in the pasture. She sure looks like she might be remarking, “you don’t say”, in these pictures. A very pretty cow, I think.

Day 103 Am I A Handsome Dude Or What?

Wednesday, April 13 – The wind is howling out, blowing in a winter storm, or so the weatherman says. I sure hope it misses us. It can rain all it wants, just no white stuff, Please!  Thought I better get some shots of my new Charlaise/Angus bull calf that is such a miracle. I thought the momma cow had aborted in January, but obviously she didn’t. Lots of issues for the last few months requiring 4 visits from the vet, but it was all worth it, as you can see. He still needs a name though.

Day 102 The Chicken Brood

Tuesday, April 12 – Here is the batch of baby chicks that Billi hatched in her classroom a couple of weeks ago. They are heading to my house soon and a brand new chicken coop that we just purchased for them. Becca and Emma have all 10 of them already named. I know there is a Hercules, Yard Bird, Elvis, Giganto and Skittles. I better get the rest of the names down before they get here. They are eating like troopers and growing their adult feathers. I sure hope that I chose mostly hens. I think we have Speckled Sussex, Aracanas, Cochin, and mystery yellow ones, which might be Buff Orpington. The photo was pretty hard to take considering there is a red brooder light. Don’t you just love that sign?

Day 101 You Are Not Going To Look At My New Baby

Monday,  April 11 – Traveler is so protective of her new adopted baby that she won’t even let me get a good photo. She always puts him on her safe side which is opposite the side I am on. She is a wonderful mom and I am so grateful that we found a ‘graft’ calf for her to raise after her own baby was killed. It is warmer out today, but windy and cloudy. We have had 10 calves so far today, so makes one wonder if we have a storm coming.
