Day 203 Bearz in the Woods?

Thursday, July 22 – Here are a couple shots I took at the BEARZ exhibit in Glacier park.  We paid $8 to drive around in a circle pattern to watch bears walk around. They were in electric fenced enclosures and we had to keep our windows rolled up at all times, so the shots are not the best. These were the chubbiest bears I have ever seen.

Day 202 Glacier Moth

Wednesday, July 21- I know, I am behind on my blog for the first time ever. Glacier put a cramp in my daily uploads.Debbie and I had such a great time. What an experience it was seeing Glacier through Bryan Peterson’s eyes. Debbie even got to be our model for one shoot we did. Those photos will be featured one day coming up. She even had to sign a release for a professional photographer from Portland who wants to use her photo. Of course, it was the day we were up and out the door by 4:15 minus makeup.  I am heading out early this morning to lead the Great Falls version of the World Wide Photo Walk. I will do catchup with those missing days tomorrow. Here are a couple shots from a meadow in Glacier Park where the butterflies were having a hayday. These were shot with my 100mm macro. I think this should be called a snow moth, don’t you? Be sure to take a closer look by clicking on the photos. More Glacier shots to come in the upcoming days.

Day 201 Good Morning

Tuesday, July 20 – Morning in Glacier from Lake McDonald 5am.This one was shot with a neutral density filter. We did flower shots yesterday too. Even made a trip to a junk yard which was a heaven for photographers. It is actually Wednesday, but I got back too late last night to post and I am leaving this morning at 5:30 for Logan pass. What a workshop!! Debbie is sick today and won’t be going along. We were supposed to leave at 4:15, but road construction is holding us up. Will post more tonight, if I can. I have learned so much!!

Day 200 On To Glacier

Monday, July 19 – Here I am on my way to Glacier for the Bryan Peterson workshop in Glacier Park. We went Browning way and these shots are as we approached the park. We are leaving at 4:30 tomorrow for Lake McDonald and a full day of shooting. Debbie and I got here at about the same time even. Some very nice and interesting people are attending this workshop.

Day 199 Looking Like Summer

Sunday, July 18 – It is finally looking like summer. About Time!! It is still 89 degree right now at almost 10pm. The flowers are sure blooming finally. The lawn is even turning brown from the heat. I think it got spoiled with the cool temps and all the rain. Those roots are going to have to do some reaching down deep from now on.

Day 198 I Dare You To Take My Flag!

Saturday, July 17 – Here is a shot from the 4th of July parade in Great Falls. A parade that was way too long for little guys. They were thrilled with the water, water bottles and popsickles that were handed out though. Flags were passed out to the crowd and Lily grabbed on to hers for dear life.

Day 197 Ying and Yang

Friday, July 16 – Bryton and Gage are on their way to my house to spend the night. I thougt this shot that Becca took of them would be appropriate for this day. I really like the composition of this shot. There is just something about having Bryton looking at the camera and Gage looking away. Very neat shot!

Day 196 Who, Me, Get Dirty? Never!

Thursday, July 15 – Tristan says he never gets dirty like Lily. Yah, right!! You certainly look innocent here, my dear. You would never make the mess your sister did with that fudge bar, right?

Day 195 Lily vs The Fudge Bar

Wednesday, July 14 – Here is that pretty little granddaughter of mine before and after a fudge bar. She can really do them justice, can’t see?  There is nothing better on a hot day. Thank heavens for soap and water. It rained again last night. Not exactly the weather we need for haying. At least, no hail so far.

Day 194 Emma, The Photog

Tuesday, July 13 – Emma and I made a quick trip to Gibson Park last week for her to get some photos to enter in the fair. We happened on this pretty butterfly enjoying an early morning breakfast. Nice shot, Emma. You are getting to be quite the photographer.
