Day 225 The Real Grandson??

Thursday, August 12 – Heading to Helena tomorrow for class, so won’t have time to post like I usually do in the evening. These were my favorite photos, but the lighting was not what I needed for my assignment. I am not sure if this is the real Tristan or the other one with the goofy face. Either way, I love the little guy to pieces. It is supposed to rain again on Friday. I think Walter is almost welcoming it; it will leave no doubt what will happen with the wheat that way. I am babysitting for grandkids on Saturday for the rodeo. Their mom is working at the Chamber of Commerce booth. I did it last year and even ended up taking the grandson to the fairgrounds to have an Indian Taco. Yum, I can almost taste it right now. Definitely will have to plan on that again. Why do they taste extra good at a fair?

Day 224 Just Like My Brother

Wednesday, August 12 – Tristan and Lily had a great time this afternoon. That little gal can sure eat and she plays so well with her brother. It was sad when it came time to go home, as Tristan begged to stay. I always feel so bad when he does that. I guess I shouldn’t,  as that means he had a good time with Grandma. I so love having them here. Nick and Kristie got some school shopping done and went to supper at Borries. He fell asleep as soon as he sat down on my couch. Poor guy is working way too hard lately, I think.  I took these of Lily today. Can you tell who she is taking after when it comes to goofy faces for posing? The guys started combining today.  I don’t know how much sprout damage there is though.

Day 223 My Assignment Shots

Tuesday, August 11 – Here are the shots I used for my final portrait class assignment. The little stinker finally sat okay and I got the smiling one for the light side and the other one is for the dark side. I used the baby one for environmental or lifestyle where the body is the main focus and the camera is just there like an observer. Tristan and Lily are on their way to spend the afternoon while their mom and dad go out to dinner. The concert was cancelled that they had tickets for, but they are still going to make it a date night which they both need. Walter might try combining this afternoon, as it is in the 80s and the wind is blowing; hopefully it will be dry enough.

Day 222 Cinnamon Roll At Grandma’s House

Monday, August 10 -  Tristan spent the night last night and we stopped at 5 Loaves Bakery on the way home to get cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  As you can see, he thoroughly enjoyed it to the very last crumb.  I finished my last class assignment and uploaded the photos for critiquing. Started my next class, Photographing Children, and it looks very challenging. I am sure glad that I have lots of little models to work with.

Day 221 What Was I Thinking?

Sunday, August 9 – I found out really fast this morning why not to use Tristan as my model for my assignment that is due today. Here is what you get when a 4 year old does not want to cooperate.  He is a great subject usually, when he isn’t told he has to pose a certain way. I was trying to get light side and dark side lighting. Forget that with him!! He would have been great if the assignment said goofy poses. Oh, Tristan, you are a handful. I kept threatening to take him home early and he would negotiate putting him in timeout instead. It was hard to not laugh. The assignment is supposed to be in by 3 and I think it is going to be late.

Day 220 Brotherly Love

Saturday, August 8 – Here are shots of Gage and Bryton holding hands. You have to wonder if they possibly held hands like this before they were born. There is such a special bond between twins and you can already see it with these guys. Can you tell I am a proud grandma?!

Day 219 Tiffany’s Boys

Friday, August 7 – Here are some of the shots that I did of Tiffany/Bryton and Tiffany/Gage on their 6 month birthday. Such cuties. I have so many to go through yet to send on to Tiff to chose what she wants printed. Debbie got home to Washington safe and sound and I would think resting. I might have totally wore her out during her visit. We sure had fun though.

Day 218 That Wind Blown Look

Thursday, August 6 – Debbie got on her way home this afternoon via Amtrak. We had such a lovely time for this last week; got to do so many fun things and spend quality time together and with our dear friends, Leslee, Cheryl and Jenn. Thanks to all of them for such a fabulous time. I took these the last night I had my model and  had no cooperation at all from the weather. I did get some to upload to my class, but the wind was blowing like crazy and that made it really hard. I got this shot which is rather funny; wish she had been laughing. I didn’t use it for class, but I like it anyway. The other one is another class shot that was done with porch or garage door lighting. I am so pleased that I got some great shots of Debbie.

Day 217 Mr. Sun Shows His Face

Wednesday, August 5 – I shot these a couple of mornings ago when the sun was just thinking about showing his face. Tomorrow will bring the last of the Debbie shoot photos. We are heading to Shelby tomorrow afternoon and the train depot. Today was a very relaxing day. We did some photos at the steam museum and then ran to town for popcorn for Deb’s kiddos and hubby. Lunch was at the Maple Garden and then a quick visit with Roberta at her new home. Debbie had been there before the remodel and was impressed with the work they have done. There is a brand new deck off the back that is fabulous. I hate to see Deb go home. It has been such a fun week and it went by so quickly. I doubt if either one of us ever forgets the photo sessions that we had. She was quite the model.

Day 216 Diva Debbie, Part 2

Tuesday, August 4 – Did some more shots of Debbie for my class assignment. These were taken outside with and without a reflector. I don’t think that Debbie really liked being a model, but it was a real learning experience for both of us. Actually had alot of fun. We spent the day today making recipe cards for a swap. We each did 24 of them.  I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the gals in our group do. Tomorrow is a day to just relax.
